Tania Fairbairn BPhil (Hons) Dip RBS (TTC) ARAD AISTD (CB)
Tania Fairbairn was trained at the Arts Educational School, Tring and the Royal Ballet School Teacher Training Course with Valerie Adams. She holds a BPhil (Hons) in Dance and Contextual Studies from Durham University.
Tania Fairbairn danced with London Ballet Theatre, Northern Ballet Theater and Alexander Roy’s Scottish Ballet before moving on to musicals in London’s West End where she performed in stage productions of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ’42nd St’ and “On Your Toes”.
An internationally renowned ballet teacher, Tania continues to nurture a passion for dance pedagogy through her nurturing and nurturing approach.
Tania has taught ballet and character dance for many years at the Royal Ballet School and is a teacher training tutor. Tania’s choreographic work has won glowing accolades, particularly for her character dances which have been staged at various theaters including The Royal Opera House, Opera Holland Park and The Linbury Theatre.

Prior to the Royal Ballet School, Tania taught at the Central School of Ballet for 15 years as head of the Junior School and choreographed the character dances for the dancers in Christopher Gabel’s production of “Swan Lake” for the Northern Ballet Theatre. While attending the Central School of Ballet, Tania created the “Recovery from Injury” course working with the school’s physical therapist on injury prevention and rehabilitation. Tania also continued her coaching courses during her years at the Royal Ballet School.
Tania’s freelance work includes teaching for the British Ballet Organisation, the Cecchetti Society and the Royal Academy of Dance.
