Patricia Rotondaro
Argentinian-born Patricia Rotondaro trained at the Folkwang Universität der Künste (Essen, Germany) and obtained a Bachelor in Dance and Choreography at the SNDO (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). She performed with companies such as Meekers, Luzerner Theater, Bühnen Bern and Theater St. Gallen. As a freelancer dancer, she worked with Linda Magnifico, Teresa Rotemberg/Company Mafalda, Cathy Sharp Dance Ensemble, Jochen Heckman, and the Anton Lachky Dance Company. She toured Brazil, Colombia, Slovakia, The Netherlands, Spain, England, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany. She was the lead female role in the dance film Das Blumenzimmer. The movie, directed by Regie Sarah Derendinger, was screened on Swiss television and at international video dance festivals in Argentina, Brasil, Mexico, Italy and Switzerland. Rotondaro is the founder and organizer of the Dance Platform Dare&Share! in Basel and one of the four contemporary dance teachers for the BA in Contemporary Dance at Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. As a choreographer, she created When space creates the story, Green and Un diálogo con las sombras, which has been selected for the 16th Venice International Art Fair in 2022.
