Olga Evreinoff comes from a Russian bourgeois family with academic education and activity, who, after the Russian Revolution, immigrated to Prague, where she was born. At first she studied dance, danced and worked as a dancer in Prague. She then when to Russia, where she studied at the Bolshoi Academy and the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in St. Petersburg. Later,she danced in Prague and Oslo. She was an invited artist at the National Ballet of Canada and the Opera of Canada. As a teacher she has collaborated with important ballets, among others with the School of American Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet (Chicago), the National Ballet and the National Ballet School of Canada, the American Ballet Theatre, la Scala Theatre Ballet in Milan. She appears often with the London Royal Ballet, the German National Opera and the Dutch National Ballet. Since 1989 she has staged the Makarova production La Bayadère and has contributed in the original production of the ballet Swan Lake by Makarova (Εngland National Ballet, China National Opera, Brazil, Russia). In 1989-90 she was in charge of La Scala Theatre Ballet in Milan.
