Michele Pogliani

Michele Pogliani has danced in many New York dance companies and collaborated as a choreographer with Italian and European companies. He has taught in New York, the Aa, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and was Coordinator and teacher at CODARTS under the Artistic Direction of Samuel Wuersten.
Michele Pogliani Studied in Rome and New York where he worked with companies such as Rosalind Newman and Dancers, Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians and Lucinda Childs Dance Company. He has worked with Eric Barsness, Ruby Shang, Doug Varone, Enzo Cosimi, Roberta Gelpi and Adriana Borriello.
He debuted as a choreographer in 1996. In 1997 he formed his own company . He boasts co-productions with festivals and institutions such as Festival Inequilibrio, AMAT, Festival Montpelleir Danse, Comune di Roma and Festival di Todi. He has created ballets for various companies and academies: Balletto di Toscana, Compagnia del Teatro Nuovo di Torino, Accademia Nazionale di Danza, Rotterdamse Dansacademie, Dansgroep Krisztina de Chatel, RODA Festival di Rotterdam, Balletto di Roma.
He has taught in Italy, London, New York, Rotterdam, Slovenia, The Hague, Amsterdam, and for the companies Dansgroep Krisztina de Chatel, DanceworksRotterdam and DV8 Physical Theater.
From 2004 to 2009 he was Coordinator and teacher at CODARTS Rotterdam under the Artistic Direction of Samuel Wuersten.
